Graduation Open House

For J and L's graduation open house we wanted to do something special. I worked with the moms to have a variety of flavors and the bright colors. They were a huge hit!

Cornerstone Graduation Cupcakes

I got to make cupcakes for 2 Cornerstone graduates. As an alum it was extra fun!

It's a girl...cakePOPs for L's baby shower.

Vanilla cakePOPs colored pink in the middle are a fun treat to celebrate L's expected little girl.

Don't Take My Word for It....

I received this email from D who had tasted my Strawberry Cupcakes, pictured below. It is one of the best compliments I have received thus far. The ohhs and ahhs are just as appreciated but I thought it would be fun to post another an unbiased critique of my baking. So you don't have to take my word for it :)

I had one of your very lovely cupcakes and it was delicious.  I had my own business for 15 years and cake and cupcakes are my specialty but now I only do it for fun.  I do not compliment people very often as I know a good cupcake and there aren’t many good ones, but yours is WONDERFUL.  Just the right texture and lightness in the frosting (not sweet which I like) and the texture of the cake was perfect.  Sometimes fruit can make a cupcake tough but  yours was moist, but not sticky and it all blended together so well.  I also like the size of your cupcakes as to many people make giant cupcakes and the frosting is like eating a bite of pure sugar.  Everything about your presentation, the look of the cupcake, the box, everything was perfect.   The other cool thing about your cupcake is that it does not have an unpleasant after taste like most of the ones I have tried.   My husband and I used to travel all over the country, and we did it for years and I would always find real Bake Shops everywhere we went, and try  the pastries and cakes and there are very few good ones

 On a rating of and 10 was the highest you would get a 10!!!! From me. 

I think I will stop baking and just buy them from you.

It's Time for Spring

And that means great spring treats: Strawberry Cupcakes w Strawberry Meringue Buttercream and Chocolate Cupcakes w Buttercream. The fruit garnish gives them a spring flair! Thank you K for your order :)

Beach Themed Shower

P ordered cupcakes for a beach themed baby shower. I used three different shades of turquoise so that they could be mixed together in display and look like water. The other detail of seashells was used to coordinate with the shower decorations. P chose chocolate and vanilla cupcakes w buttercream frosting. Congratulations K!

Winter Cupcakes

These cupcakes were ordered for a friend get together. We went with two kinds: chocolate cupcakes w buttercream frosting and raspberries; red velvet cupcakes w cream cheese frosting. They were delicious and the color contrast made for a pretty platter as well.
