Someone's Turning 30!

For my friend K's 30th, her husband ordered 3 dozen cupcakes to have at the restaurant where we all gathered to "surprise" her. She was quite surprised and we had a great time of conversation over cupcakes and drinks.

The cupcakes were: mint chocolate w buttercream icing, red velvet w cream cheese icing and mocha w chocolate ganache.

Don't Take My Word for It....

I received this email from D who had tasted my Strawberry Cupcakes, pictured below. It is one of the best compliments I have received thus far. The ohhs and ahhs are just as appreciated but I thought it would be fun to post another an unbiased critique of my baking. So you don't have to take my word for it :)

I had one of your very lovely cupcakes and it was delicious.  I had my own business for 15 years and cake and cupcakes are my specialty but now I only do it for fun.  I do not compliment people very often as I know a good cupcake and there aren’t many good ones, but yours is WONDERFUL.  Just the right texture and lightness in the frosting (not sweet which I like) and the texture of the cake was perfect.  Sometimes fruit can make a cupcake tough but  yours was moist, but not sticky and it all blended together so well.  I also like the size of your cupcakes as to many people make giant cupcakes and the frosting is like eating a bite of pure sugar.  Everything about your presentation, the look of the cupcake, the box, everything was perfect.   The other cool thing about your cupcake is that it does not have an unpleasant after taste like most of the ones I have tried.   My husband and I used to travel all over the country, and we did it for years and I would always find real Bake Shops everywhere we went, and try  the pastries and cakes and there are very few good ones

 On a rating of and 10 was the highest you would get a 10!!!! From me. 

I think I will stop baking and just buy them from you.
